Welcome to Mexico
The Lost City Marathon kicks off from the ancient Maya city of Palenque, México.
Palenque is nestled in the dense rainforests of the Chiapas region on the Yucatan peninsula, surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking beauty. A rich bird life and howler monkeys dominate the jungle and in the open plains hundreds of species of butterflies live.
The race features both a marathon and a half marathon. The awe-inspiring route follows jungle trails, majestic rivers, picturesque ranches and small villages. It's a challenging race crossing various surfaces and steep hills.
Register for the Race
As a resident of Mexico, you are eligible to a race only entry.
Marathon: 150 USD
Half marathon: 150 USD
Race entry includes:
- Exclusive Lost City Marathon T-shirt
- Race briefing
- Transport to start line from 2 pick up places: Hotel Maya Tulipanes in Palenque town and the Chiapaneca restaurant
- Transport from finish line to the hotel Maya Tulipanes in Palenque town
- Medal to all finishers
- Experienced Medical Personnel
- Supplies on route
- Refreshments and lunch at the finish line
- Timing and Results
It is also possible to join race briefing lunch on Friday, February 21 and Celebration Dinner on Sunday, 23 February for an additional fee. If you would like to add one or both to your booking, please contact us.
IMPORTANT! As a proof of eligibility, residents and citizens of Mexico will be asked to send us a copy of current, valid residency permit and/or passport. Upon receiving your entry, we will contact you to request copies of your official, government-issued documentation.
